With her sleek, velvet-grey coat and that unmistakable white diamond on her chest, she's the one you'll see patrolling the sand near the pier while the groms are out in the water. She isn't just a dog — she's a local fixture. A steady, smiling presence that reminds everyone that the best seat in the house is usually on a beach towel.

Born in 16th-century Germany from an English Mastiff and an Irish Wolfhound, she was bred for one job: catch wild boar and hold it until the hunters arrived. Not chase it. Hold it. The Apollo of dogs didn't come to play.
