Dawn Patrol #4 & #5: Sasha & Coco

Some dogs are born into the good life. Others travel halfway around the world to find it. And then there’s Sasha and Coco — two rescue girls who somehow ended up exactly where they were meant to be: living in Redondo Beach and running wild on a SoCal beach with sand between their toes and salt air in their fur.

Meet the Girls

Sasha is eight years old and made the long journey all the way from Russia. Coco is seven and came over from Korea. Two different countries, two very different backstories — but the same happy ending. Today they live with their human, Cindy, in Redondo Beach, and life is pretty much as good as it gets.

Once or twice a month, Cindy loads up the crew and heads to Dog Beach, and if you’ve ever watched a dog hit the sand for the first time and just go — full sprint, pure joy, zero agenda — that’s exactly the energy Sasha and Coco bring every single time.

The Rescue Behind the Story

Both girls found their forever home through Life Animal Rescue, a nonprofit rescue organization based out of Agoura Hills dedicated to saving dogs internationally and finding them loving homes right here in Southern California. If you’ve ever thought about adding a four-legged member to your family, these are the people to call. The dog of your dreams might just be waiting for you — and she might have a pretty incredible passport story to go along with it.
