Dawn Patrol #8: Meet Frank & Louie

Frank lives across the street from the beach. Louie figured that out fast.

Seven years old, black and white, full poodle energy — Louie hits the sand five days a week at low tide like it's on his calendar. And it basically is. That's when Milo shows up. Also a poodle. Also extremely serious about this arrangement.

It started with a photo online. Louie, wearing a Scottish tie, looking like he had somewhere important to be. Frank's wife was done. They drove to Temecula — Rebecca's Farm — and that was that.

He's the 8th member of the Dawn Patrol and he has absolutely no notes.

If you see Louie and Frank out there, say hi. They're the ones who look like they've been doing this forever.

Because they have.
