Dawn Patrol #10 & #11: Meet Bill, AVyZ & Katza
Some dogs find you. Others get driven across the country by a trucker friend because they're too big for a plane.
That's the story of AVyZ and Katza — two German Shepherds rescued from Zeal German Shepherds in Wisconsin, and now the 10th and 11th official members of the Dog Beach crew. Katza made the trip by air. AVyZ had other plans. He was simply too large to fly, so Bill did what any devoted dog dad would do: called in a favor and had him hauled out to SoCal by road. No drama. Just logistics.
Bill found them through rescue, and honestly, Dog Beach found all three of them.
These two aren't swimmers — they're investigators. They patrol the sand on their own terms, checking their peemail, leaving their peemail, and making their social rounds with the regulars. When the session's done and it's time to head home, there are no baths. "They'd be wet all day," Bill says. Hard to argue with that math.
We asked Bill what he wanted people to know before we wrapped up.
"Love Dog Beach. Send them money — they're out of poo bags."
Consider this our public service announcement. 🐾
If you know how to get in touch with Dog Beach to help keep the bags stocked, now's the time.
