Dawn Patrol #9: Ava & Clover

Meet Ava — Cal Fire student, soccer player, and full-time dog mom to Clover, a 7-year-old rescue from Riverside who has been thoroughly unimpressed by the Pacific Ocean since day one. 🌊❌

Clover's Dog Beach strategy is highly refined: sprint like his life depends on it, locate the nearest group of dogs and insert himself immediately, then find a good patch of sand and sit down like he owns the place. Swimming? Absolutely not. That's for the undignified.

What Clover does love: running, socializing, and getting so aggressively sandy that a full bath is basically non-negotiable when they get home. Ava obliges every time. This is the life they've chosen.

Away from the beach, Clover is Ava's permanent co-pilot. Walks, errands, drives around town — if Ava's going somewhere, Clover's already in the passenger seat waiting. He didn't ask to be a rescue dog from Riverside. He just knew he was meant for a bigger life. Turns out that life involves a lot of car rides, a weekly trip to Dog Beach, and a human who shows up for him every single time. 🐾

Not bad for a dog who won't even get his paws wet.
